FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

 


A. Affirmative:

Subject + will/shall + have + 3rd form of Verb + object.

B. Negative:

Subject + will/shall + not + have + 3rd form of Verb + object.

C. Interrogative:

Will/Shall + subject + have + 3rd form of Verb + object?

Conditions involving this tense:-

1.  It indicates an action that will be finished at a point of time in future:

a.  I shall have finished my homework by the time he returns home.

b.  You will have finished reading this novel by the end of next week.

2.  It denotes an imagination:

a.  By the next year, she will have taken her university degree.

b.  In a month, he will have been here for ten years.
